Wx4: Walking, Wealth & Worth for Women is a monthly money meet-up in Port Townsend on Saturdays, from 9:30-11:00 a.m.

Join an easy 2-3 mile walk around Port Townsend in the company of other like-minded women, facilitated by Coach Shelly. Each Wx4 walk has a discussion topic related to your wealth and worth. Classes

"How to Successfully Use an Allowance to Help Your Kids Become Money-Smart and Money-Empowered!" is for parents or caretakers of children ages 4-14 and is offered at no charge to the community through the ALSO program of Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. The last time I taught this class was in 2020, and I still have parents coming up to me to say how their family's foray into an allowance is working well and evolving!

Class description: Learn how to use an allowance to teach your kids to make money-smart choices and become money-empowered. Start when they’re as young as 5, and expand your kids’ financial responsibility as they move into the tween years. An allowance is “practice money,” so kids can make mistakes when it doesn’t matter so much, figure out their money personality, and learn real-life lessons along with their family’s values. Whether you already have an allowance system set up, or are wishing to start one, this class is for you. We’ll discuss how an allowance can develop a work ethic and encourage charitable giving, along with when and how much to give at each age. Inspired by John Lanza’s parent guide, The Art of Allowance.

This is an in-person class in Port Townsend. (I believe childcare will be offered that evening. Registrants will be notified about this.)
