Ready to overcome the overwhelm in your financial life?
I help you get unstuck, organized, and prioritized.
Greetings! I’m Coach Shelly, and I can’t wait to share with you the tools, habits and mindset that will lessen your money stress and point you toward more true wealth.
I came to this profession after working as a financial planner, a volunteer tax preparer, a small business advisor, an educator, and a journalist. I’m also a mom and an advocate for sustainable living. I’ve lived on the rural Olympic Peninsula in Washington State since 2000 and understand its unique economy and the good life that is possible here.
I’ve turned my money smarts and lifelong passion for personal finance into a shareable resource. I’m dedicated to being the best financial coach I can be because our society desperately needs more professionals helping people make sense of — and make peace with — their money. (Same goes for divorce finances!)
If you’re thinking it’s time to make a change in your financial life, seize this moment! Don’t wait. It’s never too late to start.
I’m here to help. Find a time to talk below.

Your first step: Get your questions answered.
Who needs a financial coach?
How do you know if you need a financial coach or a financial advisor?
Maybe you really need a tax accountant or a credit counselor.
And how should you expect to pay for the services you need?
It all starts with YOU and YOUR NEEDS. So make a list, right now. What are your most pressing financial issues/headaches/audacious goals? What keeps you up at night, money-wise?
Then, let’s talk. >>Schedule here.
One-on-one coaching is not right for everyone. I’ll hear you out, then do my best to point you in the right direction. And we’ll discuss whether you need intensive, short-term assistance to kickstart a change, or ongoing help to get your financial house in order.
Financial peace of mind, defined.
I define financial peace of mind as the state of being content with and in control of your financial life—where you’re at and where you’re headed. This is an option that is available to each and every one of us.
And it doesn’t matter how big your bank account balance is.
Financial peace of mind starts with learning a simple, customizable process for managing the money that comes in and what goes out. It means being mindful with your spending and saving decisions. It’s about “being fluid and flexible with your money — if you’ve got more, enjoy it; if you’ve got less, enjoy other things” (per Chellie Campbell). And finding creative ways to get what you want.
If that sounds daunting, you don’t have to take this journey alone. Let’s talk about how coaching can lessen your money stress and steer you to financial peace of mind. >>Schedule here.
